Patient Information - Pre-Surgery

Before your surgery, you'll talk about the procedure in detail with our physicians and staff. They may also want you to meet with other experts who can help you understand what will happen during and after the operation. These experts might include:

• A dietitian
• A physiotherapist
• A psychologist
• Other specialists

Depending on your age and medical history, certain pre-operative studies are required. These tests will be ordered by our doctors. You may need:

• Cardiac work-up including a Stress Test and EKG
• Complete Blood Work
• Sleep Study
• Psychological Evaluation
